Serendipity-
The faculty of happening upon or making fortunate discoveries when
not in
search of them, or in other words, a happy surprise! This is what is
in store for you when you stay with us in Saugatuck,
the Art Coast of Michigan.
If your schedule cannot permit a two day stay at Serendipity, stay just one night!
- In April, 2013 all rooms and suites qualify on weekdays, and weekends in Iris, Rose and Lily!
Serendipity was mentioned in the October 2010 issue of Midwest Living as the place to stay when visiting Saugatuck/Douglas (Girl Talk, page 103).
Serendipity offers a variety of accommodations to suit your needs and taste. The classic Bed and Breakfast experience awaits you in one of our three lovely B & B rooms. Lily has a private bath and Queen-sized bed. Iris, with a Queen-sized bed, and Rose, with a full-sized bed, share a bath complete with jet tub. All of the beautifully decorated rooms include TV/VCR, air conditioning, and ceiling fans.
A full hot breakfast is served daily. Good food and pleasant company to start your day's adventures!
The five Suites offer private entrances, sitting rooms, fireplaces and equipped kitchen or kitchenette in addition to one or two bedrooms. Suites #1 and #2 can be combined to create three bedrooms, two baths (one with a Jacuzzi tub), a full kitchen, and two sleeper sofas.
Your stay in the suites will be undisturbed. A full breakfast in a basket will be placed quietly at your door each morning. In addition, a hot tub, sauna, video library and games are available for your enjoyment.
If a romantic getaway or complete privacy is what you need, the Lightkeeper's Cottage is for you. This cozy, secluded space includes a sitting area, kitchen, and bath nestled beneath a large loft bed. Warm light filters in from above through the large stained glass window. Enjoy your own hot tub on the deck surrounded by a privacy fence.
Serendipity is located just steps away from unique shops, artist-owned galleries, great restaurants, the boat docks, boardwalk, and parks complete with gazebos. We are also just across the street from the Saugatuck Center for the Arts. Beautiful Oval beach and the breathtaking Saugatuck Dunes are only minutes away.
Cable TV and wireless internet in all B & B rooms and suites keep you connected, if you wish.
